Kilimanjaro Challenge 2008

In November of 2008, a team of six from the Ballymoney , Coleraine and Kells will attempt to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. Standing at 5,895 metres (19,340 feet) 'Kili' is the tallest free standing mountain rise in the world and is Africa’s highest peak. The climb is not only designed as a personal challenge for each of the trekkers but also as a facility to raise money for a good cause.

Over the remaining months Irwin (Holmes), James, Glenn, Kenny, Stephen and another Irwin (Adair) will prepare for the once in a life time trip through physical and mental training as well as carrying out a number of events to raise money for BCFC Academy in Kitale, Kenya. Glenn will also be raising money for the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice - visit www.KerenOwens.com for more details.

Please take time to read through the site, follow the training and events and don’t forget to make a donation via one of the methods stated.
